Challenging Approaches Crosswind Landings at Osaka Itami airport Japan airlines 787, Embraer & 737

This Unusual approach at Osaka Itami Airport is due to the rare winds, It lasted about 2 hours before returning to the usual approach.
You'll see a Japan Airlines 787 flying across the city into the downwind leg and then making a nice right turn into the base leg before the mountain.

Great work from those Embraer, 737 and 787 drivers. Looks like the 73 deliberately went wide to set themselves up for a longer final than the other two, and be stabilised earlier - a very smart call.

The combination of the perspective and long-focus lens really makes it hard to make out the relative position of those aircraft. I seriously thought that ERJ was going to crash into that Dash 8 lol. Anyway, those are some badass landings.

8:05 oh, he's not going for near runway like the 787, 8:15 ok going for the further runway, 8:27 holy crap he doesn't see the traffic taking off, 8:39 wow, that telephoto lens is crazy. Great camera work
