Sean you will never know how much I craned my neck to look for your spoon in that draw in the community shop 😊

I got in the garden today did my pots at the side of the house. It's been nice and sunny but a bit chilly, dug out my fleece gardening jacket and me old postie hat was quite warm when i got going. When i was delivering the post i use to like November sunny days with a nip in the air with my hat, scarf and fingerless gloves . Oh and my 2 pairs of socks, those were the days 😂

I'm currently cutting back a lot of bamboo in my garden that I took my eye off a few months back. I'm with you Sean, do what you can and take a break when you need it! Wishing you a good week ahead. 😃

Bore da Sean,
Well that was a lovely unexpected walk. What a blessing to have all that right on your doorstep, it’s certainly a beautiful place. Well done for getting out for a walk after your M.E episode. Thank you so much for taking us with you. Annie🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The spoon you’re after is probably what we used to call a tea caddy spoon. My grandparents had one in their caddy for shovelling tea leaves into the teapot. Always a silver teaspoon in the sugar bowl though for high tea.

The smell of autumn is definitely in the air Sean. I can't believe how cold it is. I don't feel like we've had a summer this year. 😂

your sweater brought back childhood memories. my mother (an avid knitter - her hands were usually a blur!) used to make me an arran jumper every Christmas. I can still remember the itch and sweating away profusely after being forced to wear it all Christmas day. Oh the joys!!!

You may need to plant some host plants for your native pollinators. “If you build it, they will come “

In fact if you search vintage sugar spoon, you will see a lot of them for sale and you can pick the one you like the best. By the way that shell shaped spoon you saw were fruit spoons. We used those when we had some tinned fruit for our pudding.

If your wheelbarrow is loosening its nuts, you need to use locking washer. That'll keep them properly in place.

Lovely scenery Sean, but as a woman I wouldn’t fancy walking down such an isolated path alone. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing this.

Hi Sean, the camera idea sounds really good 😀. I have only seen about three butterflies all summer and why aren’t there any small birds when you gardening. There should be Robins and Blackbirds eating bugs and worms as you disturb the ground. It is very worrying and most people don’t realise without bees and other insects there won’t be fruit and crops. Here in Devon they are building hundreds of houses but then stopping because nobody can afford to buy them so like there they ruin the landscape and nature’s habitat for nothing which is very sad 😢

Love the Aran sweater! That’s the symbol of slow living in the garden… a white jumper! Love it ❤️
