Another way to get a small "knot" at the end might be to melt the end with a flame
until a small ball beads up.  Then you don't have to trim or try to get the knots on top
of each other.  Nice trick though.

The top half of the deck is not sliding back after I have pulled the deck forward and I was wondering how I fix this if you could please explain further it would be much appreciated

I do a spring or waterfall when the trick is over the line pops of every time and it distracts them from something falling out of your hand
