US Begins Flying Non-Lethal Military Aid to Ukraine

A U.S. Air Force cargo jet on March 16, 2022, began shipping helmets and other non-lethal military kit donated by Japan to Ukraine, marking the first time an American aircraft has been used to carry Japanese Self Defense Force equipment to another country.

“I think he is a war criminal,” Biden said, speaking to journalists at an event later in the day. He did not elaborate and walked away.
In response, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the TASS news agency Biden's statement was "unacceptable and unforgivable rhetoric."
