Cars with fake exhaust tips loose all my respect, I HATE cars with fake exhaust tips that aren't chrome tipped and are shrouded to look bigger than they are.

the exhausts topic is like stuffing a sock down the front of your pants to show how big your family jewels are

I agree wholeheartedly with you on the fake exhaust tips and the piping the sound thru the interior: form without function.

Spot on! It’s odd when driving behind a car of an evening seeing blanked out exhausts on one sides and real on the other, S model Audi’s would be better with just two real exhausts like how they used to do it in the early 00’s

I hate fake exhausts, so much so it's a buying factor for my last car. I bought a car with a turned down hidden exhaust, thats an honest approach in my mind, but I will walk away from any form of fake tips.

A catalytic convertor has never been at the rear of any car I've owned ? Its usually after the front pipe on all japanese cars from the 90's ?

Fake exhausts, fake exterior vents, fake chrome, fake wood, fake leather, fake engine sounds This could be the start of a whole new series on the worst offenders

I like this format a lot. I come to YouTube to hear and see real people doing real talk unscripted no matter how shabby it may look. I’ve unsubscribed from several channels that have recently gone more cinematic and with high production value, at the same time becoming more PC and PR friendly to get more cars to review. I couldn’t care less about that. I like real talk and someone with a simple GoPro showing things nobody else does. Good job doing what you’re doing!

Totally with you on this, saw your review on the SQ5 and almost brought one to replace my S3 but was put off by the fake exhaust

I very much agree with your comments on fake exhausts, but I would go further and say that there is too much plastic trim on both the front and rear of recent Audi models across the board. I bought a Q3 (40 TFSI Quattro) early last year which is festooned with cheap-looking plastic trimi, especially on the front. Are they meant to be fake air intakes? At least the fake exhausts on the SQ8 look real, whereas on the Q3 they're ridiculous. How can you have plastic exhausts?! My previous car., a 2015 A3 5 door 1.8 TFSI Quattro, had real twin exhaust outlets which looked lovely. In fact I think the A3 was one of the best looking cars out there. It had clean lines and all the exterior trim served a purpose, but I notice the current A3 models also have an abundance of ugly plastic. I don't get it. I don't understand why they make the newer model less visually attractive. almost tacky. I sympathise over the fingerpirints - the wheel and press arrangement was much better than the touch screen which verges on the dangerous.
While commenting might I add a couple of points about the Q3? I bought it from Five Oaks around the time you tried the orange one last year. I too drove that car which was a 35TFSI non-Quattro. The Quattro transmission is well worth it, unsurprisinglly not being prone to poor grip on pulling away sharply. However the gear box suffers from lag which was not the case with the A3. THis seems to be intermittent and can be disconcerting. Have you experienced something similar? Other than this the Q is a fine car - really practical, almost the size of my daughter's Q5.
I enjoy your videos BTW!

Totally agree. Even on the 2020 A4. Fake tips. To have this on a S model is a mortal sin.

What annoys me is fake grills on cars. Like the Honda Civic rear and front bumper as one example but most cars have them and they're ugly

Exhausting vlog is a cool name. Keep these a lot shorter (5-6 minutes) and I'll watch them all. I don't have 17-18 minutes to listen to the same point be made 4-5 times in 4-5 slightly (or not at all) different ways.

Blame the builders of the Titanic for setting the standard, one of the four smoke stack funnels was fake.

Agree with your sentiments, Pete. Often, when sat on a congested M3, I examine the design of cars and the fake exhaust or tiny exhaust hidden inside a chrome ‘display’ makes me smile. Good feature, maybe an opportunity to have a interview segment with reps from the motor industry to discuss various topics.

20 years ago we would call a car owner or designer who sticks a double exhaust on a single pipe a tasteless faker. They would at least not block one of them. Now they do it officially, even with total functionless applications. Unfortunately this mentality is now sitting in the executive design offices of the leading car manufactures. It's a clear prove that design, functionality, art and cost management does not interact progressively. It's a management error. I saw a new Volvo with four fake exhaust:)

Agree I was going to replace old A6 with new till I saw the exhausts, ending up buying Volvo S90

Sister-in-law had the cats on her Prius stolen about 2 months ago.. Gone in minutes at 4am. Well known issue and police say that once you’ve had them repaired/replaced it means you’re now a target for repeat theft due to brand new cats!
