How incredible were the engineers who were able to calculate the trajectory of both Voyagers and the gravitational "slingshot" effects of the planets... just amazing!

My dad said, “ if you go one direction in space, you will keep going that way.”

That always scared me

If those cameras had that quality back then, can't imagine if they sent another voyager today.

This is what happens when great and intelligent minds work together. Humanity has too much potential just to be spent on missiles and weapons only to kill each other.

So proud to see, something my wife built the communication components for still working, her legacy will be going on forever into the vast cosmos, along with all the other people who have had their hands on building the voyagers, always looking for updates on these two incredible spacecrafts and what they have discovered, amazing.

Imagine if humans find the technology to get to that Star system before Voyager II does, and in 40, 000 years we find a long forgotten craft that reminds us of where we started.

Lets take the time to also appreciate “Opportunity: Rover” who stayed on Mars for a decade, and is technically the reason why we know everything we do about Mars. It “died” on February, 13 2019 with its last words being “its getting dark, and my battery is low” after trying to get it to start up, the lens slowly stooped down and all cameras began glitching. Seconds later, the rover completely shut down after 10 long years on the red planet. Thank you Opportunity!

Think of all the world events that happened in the 70s and 80s while Voyager was drifting through space. With everything that happens here, it’s easy to forget that there’s an entire universe out there. Crazy.

That gives me chills. 40k years later ... how huge of a distance it traveled, yet it’s like a grain of sand in distance versus the actual size of space.

Just imagine this, when our world ends in the distant future, the Disk on the Voyager will be the only proof of existence of our very Earth and our species that ever lived.
