Shooting with Eric Curran from West Coast Exotic Cars is always a blast but this one was extra special and is currently one of my favorite videos we've ever made. He took his dads Volvo 262 with the Bertone Design, dropped in a dry sump supercharged LT4 from a C6 Z06 Corvette, did a semi custom interior and we took it out and blew the tires off!! Plus, Eric is a former pro driver including winning in DPI/prototype class as well as winning Petit Le Mans so he might know a thing or two about driving!

Thanks Liqui Moly for being our first channel partner! Looking forward to doing great things together. For more info about Liqui Moly click the link to their website and discover the best in oil & additives!

The 262C was designed in-house by Volvo's Jan Wilsgaard, but largely built by Bertone in Turin for the 1977-1981 model years. So not designed by Bertone, it was just built there.

The old school boxy Volvos will never go out of style. Still better looking than a lot cars today

I like that he’s keeping the car forever because it’s his dad. You know Dad’s don’t get a lot of praise like that everybody go out they way for their moms but don’t forget about your pops the good fathers out here we deserve our flowers too🌹

Dude! This thing is BEYOND cool! When the hood was lifted it almost looked like it came from the factory! I love everything about this car! The story, the dad owning it, all the mods, holy F! This thing is so damn awesome! Always stoked on your videos dude!

Don’t chop up the body. Tub the rears with wider 17’s and keep the body stock.what a great thing to do to show respect to his dad’s efforts.

Please don't mess with bigger wheels! I love the Turbo OEM wheels. Maybe just have them widened? The 17" size fits the car so well.

Really sick build. His dad must be so proud of what that car has become.

As a Volvo technician I feel this is the way they should have been. I'd love to do a turbo Volvo V8 in a 240 wagon some day.

This brings back memories. In the mid eighties, I built a low mileage, black on black '78 Bertone, with a tunedport 355 w/NOS, cam, and a B-W T-5. Took me almost a year. What a fun car. Had good success on the show circuit. Drove it everyday in the summer. Slam you in the seat at 100mph, but got a little squirrelly
above 145mph (air would get underneath it) had to make sure it was pointing straight ahead when you pulled the trigger. Flat hood, '86 bumpers and grill and headlights. Even had A/C. Drove it for a few years and spanked many a Corvette and Mustang 5.0. One of my best builds.

I'm a volvo guy and i love that his father chose to use a Bertone for his dream build. In all black it looks like a European Grand National those beautiful 80's body lines. That's why pops went with the grand national v6. Now its complete get the wheels stepped up and wider to 18 and tub the rear .

This car is awesome. It's very unique. It has the gentlemens hot rod look.

It looks really nice! What a sleeper. Definitely something out of the ordinary.

Please don't change the wheels, the newer factory wheels are perfect. Just widen the rears so you can fit a wider tire. That'll also cure the fact that they sit way too far inside the fender. But absolutely fantastic car.

Reminds me of a 262c that had an LT1 put into it, from The Silent D Motor Show channel. Honestly, apart from the P1800, this has got to be the best looking Volvo ever!

Shawn...your GENUINE love of cars, is why I think you are so successful, and I gotta say, Bro...as a Car Guy myself, you are one cool M'fer.
Eric...your Dad must be happy that you continued his build, and dropped in the monster LT4.
This car is a nasteee sleeper; close the exhaust valves....and say goodbye to many a wanna be Hot Rod, without much effort (provided you get'er to hook).
The absolute "COOL-NESS" of this channel, is outta sight - feel like I'm having a martini with Dean Martin, and winking at the ladies!

I always loved the Volvo wagon of that era that looked like a mini-truck. I never even knew about this model and looks like such a fun car!
