Here are Linda Taylor, Léo Costa, and I playing "Lovely Lies" live -- with the help of this awesome 1930s school desk I found on Craigslist!
Thanks Craigslist. It was definitely worth driving out to meet a stranger!
Ah, the things we do for art! Thanks for considering us!

I love when Sara sings slow, sultry, and smoky jazz like this. Warm and cool at the same time.

It has little jazz in it. It a song to sit back in the hot tub and relax to.

I remember those school desks. Not because I was schooled in the 30s, but because my school was still using them in the 90s. Decades of graffiti etched into them, held together with wood glue, used chewing gum, staples and hope.

Oh, the song? Excellent as always.

Agree with magical, crispy corner-peach cobbler voice… dad-gum! Each time I listen to Lovely Lies, I hear more… layers in that cobbler… 🎶💕🙌🏼

Sometimes, being awake at 4 am (EST) pays off big time. This was one of those times.

Just an observation, but Sara's music is very malleable which I contend means it was built on a sturdy foundation (it is the work of a true artisan). Take this version of Lovely Lies, it is 95% in common with the original but the 5% new brings a whole new level to the song and it's like hearing the song for the 1st time all over again; but it's not a cover. I feel like I just walked in another doorway into the room that is the core song. This is a rare talent. Hope the judges wake up and recognize it as well. If not, the world is still a better place for having this work of art in it.

Oh my god, Sara, thank you. I think art and music, and beauty, and love will help us go through all this shit our dictator create.

Of course this is "really" good. It's Sarah! Finally get to see Linda T. in a bare bones situation. Nice Playing Lady Linda! This is a long way from The Suits, an all female Rock N Roll Band who wer REALLY REALLY GOOD and got very little in the way of "industry Success" despite that they were the "real deal'! Keep Rockin!!
