Nature is (or should I say appears) to be unforgiving, but it isn’t respected! It doesn’t matter how good you feel you are when it comes to your pass time hobbies, as well as what you have done and “succeeded” at in the past. If you lack a certain level of experience, awareness, know how and respect……….the simplest of the simplest will play a role in your undoing. It seems like after the first person died, no one got the message and *chose (being that it would have been a good idea) to turn around. Life speaks to everyone!!! ……in the most blatant ways. Some will listen, while others will do as they please to face what has no interest in being anything specific, than *what it is.

After reviewing tens of such failures, it is now obvious to me that they all were not prepared for or thought of the worst case scenario. It is like closing your eyes and crossing a crowded highway at night, hoping that everything will be ok. After all, it is a 70 meter straight path!
I was once alike too, but I am no more now at 50.
Before ascending: Can I and my gears withstand 100 Km/h wind of -20 'C for 10 hours? (surely not? so don't go!) Do I have an InReach or similar device to call for help or a below 10 meter accuracy navigation? Am I with someone else who can go and call for help just in case? And many other questions.
