I love all the 0's I see on Metacritic because of the length. Yes, the length is ridiculous, even taking my blinding love of Metal Gear into account, and the scores should definitely reflect that in some way, but 0's solely because of that and no David Hayter? Silly.
Having said that though, I agree completely with the notion of borrowing/renting this.
Also, out of context, "8/10 but don't buy this" made me giggle too hard, haha.

I get the feeling that a lot of people who aren't keeping up with details will think this is a full real game and buy it because of the franchise and Konami will be like "Hey that worked well, let's do it for all future titles!" and Ubi will see it and go "Us too!" then release AC: V Unity prologue

So if people don't buy it, I feel they are going to struggle with the release of Phantom Pain. If i can spend 3-4 hours with a game and enjoy that time. I will gladly pay $30 for it. Even still you can buy it for previous gen for $20. It's certainly not for everyone, But I like something shorter every now and then.

It used to be demos came free in magazines, or as bonus discs included in other games, not as something you pay thirty freakin' dollars for!

I understand that the game is great and there's a lot of ways to play, but it seems like people are trying too hard to justify what it is. It really is a $30 demo. There's really nothing that can justify that fact. Buy it if you're obsessed with Metal Gear and don't care about money. Otherwise, it just isn't a worthwhile purchase.

wow, if the game experience is shorter than a movie experience it shouldn't cost more than a movie (theater price tickets in 3D for friday evening including snacks and drinks)

If Konami actually cared, they would have bundled this with Castlevania Lords of Shadows 2. Or not price the game at $30.
