I’m gonna be honest, Steve Carell’s Michael Scott character will go down as one of the best characters in tv history. Just too perfect that when he left the show felt way too empty. I know lots of people say that but it is really true. His character drove the show.

I don’t want to speak for Rashida, but it was probably a good thing she went through being “crushed” by leaving The Office.

She would’ve always been a secondary character at best on that show whereas she had the chance to be so much more on Parks. Her legacy as Ann Perkins is greater than it would’ve been doing six seasons of Karen Filipelli, for me.

Steve Carell as Michael Scott is on the same level as Bryan Cranston as Walter White. When you read the script and then see his performance, on every single episode, his own creation of thousands of peculiarities, the level of thought and inventiveness he gives to delivering each line, the ingenuity of his performance is insane.

To really believe that you have to see how Carell behaves as a person, he is almost nothing like Michael. He may have been underrated because people couldn't tell he was acting.

I feel like Rashida and her character did a great job. I would have liked to see her remain around and become more empowered but I guess her character was always too much of a threat to Pam which is a testament to how she played the character.
