I mentioned this before, but the toe issue is basically what happened to mine. I obtained her when she was relatively old, 11 years-or-so. By the time she came to me, all of her toes were gone to the first joint. I had to assist one particularly bad spot on her foot with stuck shed, and she ended up losing some more of it. It makes me sad because any time they lose necrotic tissue, it can lead to infection. She would have had to go through this 20 times with 20 open wounds through her life. I'm just happy she survived without infection. When reptiles get an infected body part, it can be particularly hard to solve. The body deposits a hard substance to the abscess that needs surgery to remove, often. She is fine now, but she can't climb or grip, thus she has a nervous temperament and dislikes being held.

This is my first leopard gecko and I opened the cage and it scared me so bad

i just got a super snow het raptor leopard gecko two days ago. he's only a week or two old so i don't know the sex, but i'm pretty confident he's a male. he is settling in still so he hasn't eaten but he just burst into a full blown shed last night. hoping he will start to pick it off soon so i can see his beautiful morph

My gecko just shed today and she turned really pale and she had sking falling off of her so I left her alone and went downstairs and a few hours later I went back to my room and she was back to normal so I put her in a clear container to see if she had any stuck shed and she didnt so I put her back :)

Most informative shedding video I've seen. I think mine did in one of last 2 nights. She has a lil piece on her leg. If still there tomorrow I'll bathe ber a lil. She definitely looks brighter to me. Will they shed n eat it in one nights time? I haven't seen any other skin cept the one leg...she's got some albino as well, so her colors were plentiful, but kinda dull

i have a question. one day my gecko (tito) looked very pale like the thumbnail and then later in the day he was back to his normal color but no skin was ever found. not a shed at all. and since i've had him he hasn't shed. he is about 2 months and 2 weeks old so i'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong since i haven't seen him shed. i have had him for a month now. thank you !

I never get to see my gecko shed. She's so sneaky!

My girl is a *possible* Tremper Albino, so I can't rely on the spots looking pale. However, her pale yellow bands *do* look more vibrant after a shed. So at least I get an idea when she's already shed.

Mine has a humid hide that is always kept nice and wet, but he never goes in it. Hes shedding in his hot hide rn... any suggestions?

How long dose it take for it to shed completely
