Every person having the freedom and ability to discuss, read and research and cast their one vote is what Democracy is all about, and Democracy does not have a party! Objectively and factually, candidate has the constant presence of supportive family, and the other one has a cardboard cutout of the spouse on stage with them. Good for you for defending yourself Shanta. No offence meant here, but Americans need to understand why the rest of the world has an opinion on their politics and their choices for president. The American government, (and it does not matter if its a republican or democratic government) tries to influence politics of most other countries. Whether it be 5 eyes or the American/Australian pact or any other ways America uses to exert its influence, especially in the South Pacific. The rest of the world has an opinion on US politics, because their domestic vote has global implications. If they don't want the rest of the world to have an opinion, then perhaps the solution is to reign in the US government, get it back to worrying more about domestic policy instead of its ever expanding global reach.

I live in California, but am Croatian. I can't vote either. Kinda of frustration for me as I am in a 28% tax bracket. I don't understand how she got to be the nomination with out the national convention. Could this be a political loophole?

Shanta, I am so sorry you have to endure all that abuse. I am a 73 year lady and I am here to tell you that before Trump showed up, every election in past history was just a healthy competition. If your canidate did not win, oh well, next 4 years, we will try again. Everyone on the whole respected our President even if you didn't vote for him. Trump brought the violence to the table. Trump split up friendships and marriages. After this I prey for peace, but with Trump in the mix we are only going to get civil wars. It's very sad what is happening to our country.
