Ford Pro is trialling connected car technology using geofencing that could one day do away with the need for speed limit signs completely. The system could make streets safer for pedestrians, cyclists and other road users, and help drivers avoid inadvertently incurring speeding fines.

In the USA it was put into law a remote "kill switch" on all new vehicles. Do you think they might decide that the days they can't make enough power for the grid, your car gets turned off for the day? My Ford Fusion already hooks to the WIFI at night. They already have plans to make options on the car a monthly service charge to use them. You want heated seats activated? Well, you get to pay a service charge.

Great systems, but we MUST be able to toggle them on and off at our own will. Also, another important safety measure, is the ability to override these systems when pressing the gas pedal above ~70-80%, for avoidance measures as an instance.
