Criminals have been documented shouting, "Police!" during armed home invasions. An uninvited stranger pounded on his door, is all this young man knows.

You can see that poor kids posture and body language he wasnt a threat, he never pointed the gun at the cop. He had his hand left hand out in almost as if hes trying to calm who was pounding on his door, with his left arm down with the gun pointed down.

The "He identified himself as Law Enforcement" doesn't really mean squat, as anyone can say that! It looks like the deputy already had his gun drawn. Shot him 6 times!! I don't know about this one!

wrong apt, wrong man. why was the cop by himself, no backup

Correct me if I'm wrong, the guy has every right to have a gun in his hand. The guy wasn't pointing it at the officer, plus you don't need to shoot him 6 times to de-escalate the situation. I mean, why did the officer have his own weapon drawn in a domestic violence courtesy call? If he had to pull his gun from his holster, then how did he not notice that the guy wasn't attempting to shoot him during the period of drawing his own gun?

There was no reason for him to fire he didn't have the gun raised, And he also didn't show like he was about to raise the gun. That police officer is at fault and he needs to be charged. My prayers go out to to this family and all his loved ones sincerely

If you are shot by police for holding a legally owned firearm, you do not have second amendment rights.

The right to bear arms does not apply if you are black.

I remember staying overnight years ago at a motel in Lakeville, Mn and the next morning I had answered a knock on the door when I opened it I had several policeman aiming a gun to my face ordering me to let them check the room because a bank near by was robbed😒I never felt so scared and violated by the police for doing nothing unlawful at all.

Owning a gun is not illegal right? I don’t understand police carry guns but are afraid of anyone else who has a weapon 😂

It seems as though the young man had 1 hand up and didn't seem to raise the pistol @3:36, how is the officer going to claim self defense doesn't seem plausible according to the video. Unless we are not seeing everything that lead up to this moment. 6 shots a bit excessive.

I'm watching this about a man who got shot for no reason. First, the trooper should have told the man to put his gun down instead of shooting him. I don't care if the trooper thought that this guy was going to shoot him. The trooper was wrong. The trooper should go to jail. To me, it seems that these cops/ troopers are gun-happy.
