Keith is a rock star in our house! I love that he brought up the “I used to be Catholic” people. Like that means anything? If they actually knew the Faith, they never would’ve left it to begin with.

I’m Catholic, proud to be Catholic . I ask myself, what would be the world without the Catholic Church ❓Catholic church gave shape the world . We have music, science, biology, university, binaries code, schools, etc because Catholic Church, all what we have and Know was the Catholic Church who gave us . Copernico was priest, the Do - re - mi - fa - so- la -si, came from Catholic Church, all bases to shape what we know today was given to us by the Catholic Church you will know them by their fruits ❗️

I must say this that Catholic’s who leave the church because they say they did not read and know the Bible until they became Protestant and say that they are now believing bible Christians which in a very limited way they are right, meaning that because they only hear scriptures spoken about in the mass but during the rest of the day they don’t read scriptures at all.But these Catholics who left the church because they say now I know word of God for myself because I’m taught the scriptures by what ever denomination they except, but what they don’t even believe is that what they are being taught has so many errors and falsehood from those who are teaching them, what a shame and a loss for those fallen away Catholics

It's his fault for not reading the Bible. To your point, he wasn't a mass attending catholic. Most of the Bible is read in masses around the world on a 3 year cycle.

📜 Jeremiah 7:1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2“Stand at the gate of the Lord’s house and there proclaim this message:

“ ‘Hear the word of the Lord, all you people of Judah who come through these gates to worship the Lord.

3This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Reform your ways and your actions, and I will let you live in this place.

4Do not trust in deceptive words and say, “This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord!”

...16“So do not pray for this people nor offer any plea or petition for them; do not plead with me, for I will not listen to you.

17Do you not see what they are doing in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

18The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to arouse my anger.

19But am I the one they are provoking? declares the Lord. Are they not rather harming themselves, to their own shame?

📜 1Corinthians 10:11 Now these things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come.

12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!

13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.

But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

14Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry.

I was born in 1953 in a Catholic home. We never ever read nor discussed the Bible. Nor did any of my Catholic friends or relatives. Never. I can remember being about 20 and wondering whether Jesus had been crucified in Rome or in Jerusalem. And it's still pretty much the same today. That isn't funny.
And it wasn't till I left the Roman Catholic church that I began to read God's Word and been reading it ever since. And, since the Protestant Revolution, Protestants have always read, studied and promoted the Bible way more than Catholics. In fact if Catholic laity in America read the Bible nowadays it is mostly due to Protestant influence. Just cross your southern border and you will find that such is not the case in practically 100% Roman Catholic Latin America. That's just a plain old historical fact.
