Dear Brannigan: by watching your videos and strategically maneuvering at a slower pace with HR, I've been able to do very well buying time for myself to get into a different industry and different role for work, HR actually offered me FMLA when I kept pointing out details in my submitted documents that they were hastily glad to be able to use your videos to reasonably anticipate what lies ahead!

i got my right to sue last week. My case has disability / gender discrimination, retaliation, Ada accommodation, constructive discharge. Learned so much from your videos to help me lay out the facts to prove my claim. Also i got unemployment from quitting.

Businesses and their 'understanding' of disabilities baffles me sometimes. Years ago, my healthcare provider told me I needed to prove I "still have autism" in order to remain on their plan. You read that right. I needed to prove I still had it. Still. As if there's a cure to it.

Last year in 2023 I had a whole situation with this. I had just started allergy shots in December and got a job in February. With allergy shots there is a build up phase meaning you have to go weekly until you hit maintenance where then you can go every 2 or 4 weeks. Some issues regarding this arose with the employer and since I receive services through Vocational Rehabilitation because of my learning disability dyscalculia, I brought it up with my counselor. She informed me that allergies qualify as a disability under the ADA because if you were to go into anaphylaxis it would obviously make it difficult to do your job. My allergies are all environmental allergies and I did get tested for food allergies a while ago and don't have any of those. She told me she would check with the ADA specialist and have her reach out to me. So long story short the ADA specialist ended up talking to the company about reasonable accommodations and the manager was still trying really hard to deny my accommodation.
