Suborbital VS Orbital #shorts

What's the difference between going to space and getting into orbit? Suborbital vs orbital. There's a huge difference, but why?

I hope to do more of these short vocabulary lessons for spaceflight topics. We'll eventually do specific impulse, Delta V, thrust to weight ratio, etc etc. Let me know what you think!

The *only* explanation I've ever seen in the media that gives the actual facts. That a thrown object doesn't follow a parabola, but rather a segment of an orbit with the perigee below the surface.

So so so so well done. Thankyou. I'll be linking to this video in my future arguments on this subject. I just wish I'd had this great resource in my dozens of past online arguments.
