Blue Angels C-130 Fat Albert start up!

So I was at my local airport Lakeland Linder home of the SUN 'n FUN Flyin and guess who showed up out of the blue!

The sound and smell of these aircraft always excites me a bit.  I airborne and used to be a paratrooper.  The first plane I ever jumped out of was a C-130.  So I have a bit of a nostalgic place in my heart for them.

First, Fat Albert was the name we used for C-5A's when they first came out and until and until MAC prohibited the use of that name. Second, in all my years of standing ground for C-130 engine starts I can never rember having anyone helping with legs like that !!!! A retired Air Force Master Sergeant.

I was gonna say this is Lakeland. The FBO girls always wear that uniform. When you go into the FBO check out the pictures on the walls. Cool airport.

Came here from K Pop girl group "Twice" and one is in to archery, ouch.
This cute little number, standing in front of the the the oh yeah C-130, should add bunny rabbit ears and a cotten tail! She has very cute mannerisms! It is amazing any aircraft take off.

A chick in a mini skirt as a flagman, awesome! I notice that many don't understand that this is a turbo prop engine, hence there is a turbine air power start cart used to power the centrifugal turbofan engine through a planetary reduction gear to start the engine.

I used to work the line at LAL back before the terminal building was built. Peidmont Hawthorne was the FBO and we were in this terrible little building that was next to the control tower. Great times, especially during Sun N Fun.
