These homemade instant packets are so much better than store-bought, not just more nutritious, but also more delicious.

It's higher in fiber and healthy fats, yet it has twice less sugar than commercial packets.

HOMEMADE INSTANT OATMEAL RECIPE
(makes 1 serving)

Ingredients:
1/2 cup quick cooking oats (45g)
1/2 tbsp agave or maple syrup
3 tbsp wheat bran
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp chopped roasted hazelnuts
1 tbsp chopped dark chocolate
1 tbsp raisins
3/4 cup milk (180ml)

NUTRITIONAL INFO (per serving):
404 calories, 15.1g fat, 60.1g carbs, 14.9g protein

it's also ideal for using up leftovers. Sometimes I also pack almond slivers, soft wheat semolina or ground nuts from baking, or put a few sunflower seeds in it, if they are about to expire. Add a fresh apple or a banana and it's the perfect mix to start the day :)

I used to make granola but it was a bit too heavy for breakfast (due to tahini) so i am definitely going to give this one a try

01:43 I too buy everything bio at the DM. And my breakfast bowl is blue with a brown rim, too 03:08 😅😅😅 Lately I substituted kefir for whole milk when soaking my special grounded oats mix, and I also add chunky cottage cheese for more proteins, besides skyr. It is so very versatile, really. But fresh fruit does not mix too well with oats and nuts, at least according to food compatibility rules. That is why I do not add blueberries or any fresh berry, for that matter. They should be eaten in the first place, leaving the oats as second course.

Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure out a way to get my morning oatmeal at work without buying expensive and sugar laden packets. The toasting in the oven probably makes this even better! Quick oats are on my grocery list. I'll be trying this next week along with several of your other recipes. Thank you so much for the quality content you share. I put 1/2 cup oats in a soup bowl with 2 teaspoons cinnamon, stevia to sweeten and a small amount of water. Put in microwave 2 minutes for my husband. I like 1/4 cup oats, 4 drops of stevia, 2 teaspoons cinnnamon, a bit of water, and 1/2 cup or more diced apple. I have diced apples in my freezer.
