Have you ever read any of those blog posts where you cook like 10 meals in one day? Google "freezer cooking" or "once a month cooking" or "bulk cooking" or something similar to that and see what you find. I've done this a couple of times and absolutely love it. You spend one day making up a whole bunch of meals then put them in the freezer until you're ready for them. It saves tons of time in the evenings.

I have never been a fan of quick oats but I love the old fashion oats and I really love steal cut. I will be looking for a crock pot recipe unless you have time to share yours.
That pie sounds wonderful. I wish I could accept the 7 lbs I gained over the holidays and not be on this stupid every January diet.:( Thank for the how to. It was fun.

I'm very bad at math. .... I enjoyed your cooking video. I LOVE oatmeal too. I make the 10 minute + large flake stuff, though. I don't use salt. But that is a neat jar you have. ;) I like my oatmeal very sweet, too. I would do that too.... (The messy pouring). (and pitcher idea - I would do that too). Yes, indeed, very cool. ;)

Linda, go to theyummylife website and search for Overnight, Slow Cooker, Banana & Coconut Milk Steel-Cut Oatmeal. That's the recipe I use...minus the flaxseed oil or whatever weird junk she puts in it :)

Love the Cooking is still being creative, maybe you just need to give your brain some different "scenery"....I'm in what I call I dry spell myself, I go in my art room and just look at everything but I end up coming back downstairs and watching terrible tv. Our mojo just needs a vaca!
