You literally missed showing the actual place's where they fit and how to sit the bars down before tightening. Waste of a video. I'll just follow the instructions that come with them.

My Yakima roof box needs a longer distance between the bars, is it still safe to install them in an area outside the locating holes?

Do you put the “front” and “back left “ labeled sides on the left side of the car despite the fact that the arrow on the label for the rack on the same sticker that is pointing to the front of the car is then pointing to the back of the car when they are mounted on the left side? Essentially, which part of the diagram should I follow... the part that says “back left” and “front left” or the diagram that has the image of the car with the arrow pointing forward which would indicate that the racks should be flipped and mounted on the other side...

This is an incomplete and inaccurate video! How about mentioning that you have to line up the crossbars on the rails where the inner circular protrusions on the crossbar align with the corresponding recess on the inner rail? That is important in regulating the proper distance and ensuring proper seating. It would have saved me time if you had just mentioned that!
