ROOF RACK INSTALLATION! #n80 #hilux #rhinorack

If you want this to be super sturdy, i've used through and through M8 bolts with washers from the inside of the roof on my car on the pillars with locking nuts and fully sealed with seam sealer. I went through two custom roof racks and never had a single flex even with me jumping on it.
Most people won't like making holes like those on their roof but if you want this to never fail even if you put another car on top of it you should consider it.

Do you remember the measurement of the mounting brackets that fit onto the backbone?

On the hilux looks quite ok. I saw an MuX today and it looked terrible, like it was way too high off the top and like a cow on stilts

Rivet is not as good quality in strength and integrity specially thats aluminum revit

Don’t use pop rivets the work lose rust your vehicle and whole rack blows off
