This video focuses on sharing my knowledge and experience on fundamental piano technique. Key points to take away from this video are:

- Practicing/playing with a conscious mind (no autopiloting)
- Always find a balance between technicality and musicality
- Always practice both hands and expressively (milk all expressivity out of the notes you play)
- Always touch the note before you play it (not hitting)
- Scales - focus on playing with your fingers
- Rhythm - practice precisely with a metronome and read the music carefully to figure out what the exact rhythm is
- DON'T BE LAZY (always take the most difficult path of practice. taking shortcuts will haunt you down in the future)

Watched the video and immediately played Rachmaninoff Concerto 2 perfectly afterwards

Good to see you again. As a pianist going through uni, it's very nice, and kinda satisfying to see videos of someone else going through their day. Tips and tricks videos are also nice. You seem to have good routines, a recipe for success :)

Seriously awesome content. Loved this video and I felt like you explained everything so well and simply like you said. Such an interesting mind shift the way you spoke about how the fingers should work and press down. I’ve been “playing” for forever but not classical and super basic so definitely want to improve with what you taught today. Thanks!!

I wasnt exactly "stuck" in my progress or anything, but ive been practicing using this method for about a week and ive been improving so much faster, it actually works. Ive been practicing scales realllly slowly and trying to pay as much attention as possible. For some reason, its making me improve really fast even in areas of playing that have absolutely nothing to do with scales, i have no idea why it works but it DOES lol. Before this point i kind of just blitzed through my scales, i was kind of treating it like weight training like "if i go really fast and make it hard for myself, thats how ill improve". Never wouldve thought the complete opposite would end up more effective. Everything on the piano just feels so much easier! Im actually excited to practice scales now lol, as weird as that sounds. Because i now know how fast ill improve from it. One big thing i was frustrated by before is i would put in a ton of work on one piece and then when i finally move on to others it would almost feel like ive learnt nothing at all. Like i learnt how to play the piece but it didnt feel like i learnt how to PLAY, in general. But with this method the practice actually seems to increase my overall skill level at a way faster pace than what i was doing before

This was really helpful, thank you. Can you do a video on improving finger independence? When hold up my hand and I move one of my fingers other fingers move with it, what am I doing wrong?

Great channel. Great information. I'd rather you spend less time on the special effects if that helps you put more content out! Thanks so much!

man i miss your channel, I laugh everytime.

I asked you this before, but I know you're from south korea, where K drama land is
and they make such beautiful jazz ballads for all the dramas.

Do you have any interest in doing jazz stuff too and classical,
like studying rootless voicings, and "Mode outlines" and it can be slow jazz balads like 60 65 bpm.
It doesn't ahve to be crazy swining 200 bpm jazz.

I was wondering, if you study any of that style in your down time at the same time of running scales and arrpegios and contrary
motion and all the classical stuff/romantic stuff that doesn't do shit for you to learn or practice jazz lol.
