Nice try CTV!! This is hands down, the most bogus story I have ever seen you broadcast. I am a homeless person in Vancouver. Nothing liveable about this place. That is a complete and total lie. I did absolutely nothing to make myself homeless and this city does absolutely nothing but give licence to developers to sell vastly overpriced condos to millionaires. They took out the vast majority of free parking. Not helpful to a homeless person. They increased the price of a parking permit from $80 to $600. That isn't something a homeless person can even compute. Thankfully, they haven't taken my car. At least it is a place out of the rain. I have a full time job. I can pay rent but I sure as hell can't pay even close to what they are asking for a one bedroom apartment here. That would be everything I earn. If you can, please answer me how this is liveable?

We need to examine the things that define a world class city. Because they define what happens elsewhere on this planet.

Regardless New York and London should be on this list

Vancouver is most livable cities for Chinese immigrants because only they can afford a housing cost.

When Calgary tops Edmonton on anything it’s a good day.

The title of the ranking should be changed to "The most racist cities in the world"

I was born and raised in Calgary, I am still living in Calgary, I hate Calgary. Calgary is too cold, too hot, too windy, too snowy, too slushy, there are no trees in Calgary. Calgary has no identity, no culture, no art, it is too American, it is nothing but suburban sprawl. Calgary is an expensive city, you pay for more and you get less. The battle between Vancouver vs Calgary, Vancouver will always be the better city. Vancouver has natural beauty, the ocean, the mountains, the forests, and it has a better hockey team. Vancouver has an identity, it is the most beautiful city in the world. Vancouver is more expensive than Calgary but you get more in Vancouver. Calgary vs Edmonton, Edmonton will always be the better city. Edmonton has more, they have a river valley, one of largest shopping malls in the world, the capital of Alberta, a better city convention centre, a better university, Edmonton will host the 2026 World Cup, the best sports and entertainment arena in North America, a better hockey team, while Calgarians are too cheap to build a new arena for Calgary. I hate Calgary, it is the most overrated city in Canada. And Calgarians stupidly re-elected that mayor for four more years, Calgary is a hole in the ground.

Oh yes cause Toronto is way livable when literally they had like two major incidents within 2018 when Montreal literally had like no major incidents since 1989.

"Vancouver in most livable list"
If it takes only 70 years for a master's graduate to afford an average 1 bedroom home working 80+ hrs a week while living off of high food and gas prices plus tax, dealing with the homeless drug users and crazy far far far FAR leftists, while stuck with slow transit and crappy weather, while being in an earthquake tsunami volcano zone, then it sure is "livable".
