My sister couldn't afford a photographer so she had disposable cameras on everyone's table at the venue. It was a brilliant idea. She developed them a few months later and put them in an album. The family and guests did an incredible job lol

My sister is a photographer and she did our wedding for free as a wedding gift. So we bought her plane tickets and paid for her hotel. We still didn't pay as much as we would have if we'd hired her but we wanted to make sure she knew we didn't take her gift for granted. She offered we didn't ask.

Here is a really interesting question, all these people who always say "ive been dreaming of this day since i was little", why havent they been putting money aside their entire life then? You have a dream wedding in mind then start a freaking wedding fund just like people do for Christmas. Just might give a bit of cushion when the time does come around. Just seems if it was that important, you would ensure you saved for it.

My husband and I eloped 31 years ago. I didn't want all the hassle that went with a wedding. We used the money to buy our first house instead.

My mom has told me since I was a little girl that "Happy wife, happy life" is horrible for a marriage cause it doesn't take ur husband's feelings into account. So she says "Happy spouse, happy house" is the way to keep a happy marriage. 😊

I pre-paid $1000 for my photographers and that was 17 years ago. We offered food and drinks and breaks and then added an extra 20% because they were awesome. When we went to pick up our photos they had made a video of some of our wedding photos with background music and a calendar with our pictures in it that we still use to this day. Neither of those things we were expecting. They worked so hard and I was very impressed and made sure to tell them how grateful I was for all the work they had done. You get what you pay for and some human decency/kindness goes a long way.

I think it’s just magic that she quit her job because it’s so taxing to spend 80 grand, but she thinks her fiancé should work two. Run, buddy! Run!

My daughter just got married. It cost $2500. Nothing went as planned. She was beautiful. She was happy. They are so happy. Everyone said if was absolutely perfect. Not a dry eye at one point. Wedding dress-$500 flowers (silk) and deco $200, the look on my baby's face- priceless!

The bridezilla/groomzilla is telling you right BEFORE the wedding who they really are and some people still marry them. They deserve what they got!

When are people going to realise the ring, wedding etc don’t matter! You are supposed to be marrying for the marriage not the fanfare. We eloped to Vegas and it was right for us, we have a beautiful marriage and that’s what matters
