"This dance was created after drawing inspiration from this mesmerising song by Miiesha called Broken Tongue. Miiesha and I are both from the same remote Indigenous community in Central Queensland called, Woorabinda. The reason I chose this song is because it speaks of the generation with a broken tongue. Being from that generation I can relate whole-heartedly. The power of this music immediately influenced my movement and I hope this visual dance is able to show the split of a broken tongue and the unity of a thirst for knowledge and healing". - Ballaneba
