I've seen a few people discussing these, i can't wait to see them in action! We don't often get such drastic changes in ballet tools.

I love that there is new tech for pointe, but sad that it doesn't look as pretty on the top of the foot. I get that it doesnt break the line visually, but i think the traditional curve of satin around your toes looks like a little tiara for your feet. I hope they can combine the new tech with prettier designs in the future.

That's so interesting that there are only the 5 sizes. One of the biggest draws of 3D printing is how customizable it is. Like, I would think they could scan your foot and perfectly hold your toes or get the optimal shank height or pre-customize them so that dancers who go through so many shoes don't have to spend as much time breaking them in.

I had heard that they don’t have many size rn cause they’re somewhat a small business, they need to sell these in order to buy more sizes in the future when they get more income from the business :)

Between these and the So Danca Elektras there are some exciting new things coming for pointe. True the aesthetic on these is maybe not for everyone, but just the fact that there are companies thinking beyond the glue and paper technology we’ve been stuck with for hundreds of years is exciting.

Maybe the point shoe of the future will be highly modular with the box and shank made from long lasting plastics/metals that you reuse for months to years?

I could even see these being fully custom made using technologies already used in podiatry for custom orthotics and orthopedics for custom braces and splints.

Perhaps performance fabric replaceable and washable pads/liners?

Maybe outer shells in a rainbow of colors and finishes from something like this matte mesh “sock” that would be great for contemporary ballets or classes to a more traditional satin outer. Either could be made from hybrid materials with non slip fabrics used for the tips and soles.

It’d be pretty cool if your shoes lasted months because there was no glue to break down and when things started looking rough you could just swap out the outer skin, toss the liner in the wash, and have basically a brand new shoe for a fraction of the cost.

I get that point shoes are so expensive. But why couldn't they at least make them look pretty.

I saw many people complaining about how it's difficult to go over the box in these shoes. I'm so curious about your experience

Fun fact is that I think that I just had a question about them on my english matura exam

I can't imagine the blisters and plastic cutting in problems, looking forward to real, in motion video. I would think that the flat 'pointe' balance part would be so slippery, and u can't darn then

This is totally off topic but how did you help clear your acne so efficiently? My face is going through it right now and yours looks amazing

How long do they last? My daughter needed 2-3 pairs of her shoes during a performance back in the mid-2000’s. I paid anywhere from $60-$80 per pair for Russians during that time.
