The poor borrow money to put food on the table, the poor borrow money to ensure they have enough gas to make it to work. The poor cant take on debt in exchange for opportunity bc banks often view them as nothing but a liability or the poor are too busy working working for the awful wages our goverment has forced on them. Poverty is a vicious cycle that many cannot escape. Its almost never because theyre ignorant of what opportunity cost is, but because the system we live in is not built to uplift the poor.
