While I was a Christian Orthodox, me and my mother fasted at Christmas, Easter and Holy Mary’s Death (I don’t know how it’s called in English, in Romanian it’s Adormirea Maicii Domnului, on the 15th of August). In our tradition, fasting lasts a few weeks, the longes being the Easter Fasting Period (40 days), in which you can only eat plant based products, no meat, no diary products, no eggs, no milk. While fasting, I realised that I felt better, I had more energy and was basically healthier. Now I have become a Buddhist and killing is something that I refrain from doing even to mosquitos. Eating meat that’s already dead doesn’t bring bad karma, but I still feel like buying meat from the supermarket encourages industrial farms to continue their activities and hurt living beings.

What's funny is that burger genuinely looks better than any burger I've had in my life lmao

Hey fair enough. Honestly I do think one of the ways we could improve conditions for animals is by adopting more alternative meats in fast food. I think that’s where products like the impossible burger will shine the most. After all nobody eats an McDonald’s burger and expects to taste fresh high quality ground beef.

I remember what did it for me. I've always been conflicted but i thanked them for their life. Few years ago, we had a whole rotisserie chicken in the kitchen for dinner. Just lying there, dead. I just couldn't.

As a meat eater, I respect and understand your choice. You are one of the most wholesome vegans on this platform.

hell yeah. i had a similar "awakening" while eating chicken - i suddenly realized i'm chewing stuff off of a bone, dodging cartilage and veins and how very weird that felt.

thanks so much for your videos! i'm very much a boring "salad" vegan now but my also-vegan-partner really loves burgers and the classics he grew up with, so your content has made him very happy! we'll have to give this burger a try

I've been vegetarian for my whole life and today I found a food place that's 100% vegan

Cool I'm not vegan but I try not to buy meat from larger companies because I've seen how they treat the animals and it's inhumane asf

Burgers are the perfect vegan gateway food. I think that's why we see so many vegan burger restaurants these days.

I hate that people think or act like they think all vegans and vegetarians have never tried meat. Yeah buddy I like the taste of it I just don't think is worth supporting such a problematic industry
