I finally got around to getting a twin exhaust system for the CRF250L 🔥

I haven’t been riding much over the winter but I’ve made a few changes to the bike. It’s gotten a service and a few other small bits.

- Exhaust -
I got the exhaust from AMS Racing Exhaust, an exhaust fabricator from Indonesia, whose page I came across on Instagram. Initially, I was wary of ordering from an unfamiliar Instagram page, but payment was made using PayPal with buyer protection, so I decided to chance it.

I ordered the exhaust on the 3rd of November 2022, it was made and then delivered to me on the 10th of December 2022. I was surprised by the quality of the exhaust, the bends in the pipes all lined up with the bike, the welds in the header and link pipe were excellent quality and the ends cans were perfect with high quality stickers.

To fit the exhaust I had to remove the rear mudguard and the toolbox on the left hand side, the exhaust strap for the left muffler could then be bolted into the tool box mounting location. I’m in the process of making a bracket for the mudguard that will bend around the exhaust and allow me to re-install it.

What people don’t consider is that a setup like that sounds better than a single exhaust, because the exhaust gasses of the second pipe exit with a slight delay after the primary pipe, creating minor rumble.

If you would make the 2nd pipe a lot longer, that rumble would increase.
