Three easy steps to getting your washer fresh and clean:

Number one - look after your detergent drawer. Left over detergent and fabric softener can build up inside the drawer, and it’s the bacteria in this sludge which can be the cause of bad odours.

Give the drawer a good clean in warm soapy water. You can also leave the detergent draw open slightly when not in use. This will allow the drawer to dry out and avoid any more mouldy build up.

Number two - Look after your door seal. Leftover detergent likes
nothing better than to pool in bottom of door seals. After every wash use a dry cloth to wipe the inside of the seal. Just like the detergent drawer you can leave the washer door open to help keep things dry.

Number three - Every month run a service or ’hot’ wash with our Limescale & Grease remover. Simply run an empty wash on it’s hottest setting or a service setting if your machine has one.

i was interested in how to remove the rubber from the inner part of the drum, so the oldest residue can be cleaned 100% - with the least grade of disassembly.

Its easy for toploaders, but for front loaders, it would have helped a lot.

You really shouldn't be touching detergent with bare hands. You can do real damage to your skin. Use rubber gloves.

One problem you forgot, you took the hot water pipe off the washers and before you all done that the hot water would wash all the scum away but with just cold water it just builds up not hard to work out, but dam hard to fix all washing machines. It's so we all get ripped off for a new seal £150 manufacturers are you all real and a bearing is £120 they are £20 new and can fit one in 30 mins but washing machine repair places say £120 upwards what a con
