A STARE from a Scout Ranger and Marine Corps

Philippine soldiers are war tested. Other countries look down on them without knowing how these soldiers trained specially the Scout Ranger

My dad was a scout ranger and retired earlier last 2018 because he wanted to rest already. He was 42 or 43 yo and decided to retire at that age. He told me everything they went through and how you need to strategize in order to get through the training. I remember he told me they got 5 seconds to eat their food and what he did was transfer the food to his shirt without anyone knowing and then hide somewhere to eat. That’s how difficult it was. I also remember he told me they needed to eat a bucket of chillies to the max that they can without vomiting and stopping & then went to the Musang Statue and kiss it, as far as I can remember. They also practiced swimming and some officers going behind and drown them, those who survives stays and those who doesn’t leaves.

Lastly, one thing that left a mark on my head was when my dad told me when he went to war against Abu Sayaffs, he had to kill a pregnant woman because she had a weapon with her. It’s him dying or the woman so he was left with no choice because as much as he did not want to kill her with an innocent baby, he did not want to die there while his 6 year old daughter was waiting for him back home — me.

I have a couple of photos of him in training with his friends and just him throughout his career in the AFP and as a Scout Ranger. I get goosebumps whenever I see pictures of him with his friends because God knows maybe some of them had died during war and that is just sad seeing them in a group photo, smiling. 🥲 Imagine creating such strong bonds with them and then next thing you know, they died in war.

Also, my dad always had his Anting-Anting and he believed in it, one time he told me that he would have been DEAD but he had his anting anting that time. He hid through the bamboo trees forcing himself through just so he can’t be found by the terrorists. He heard a gunshot that went through his uniform and now he still has that uniform with a gun bullet HOLE 😂. I don’t know if I should believe him or not haha, maybe he was just lucky enough he positioned himself in a way where the bullet didn’t hit him.

Even though him and mom split recent years ago, I’m proud of him for serving the country and have the courage and passion to dedicate himself in protecting us — the people of the Philippines. I salute him for that and for those who served and will serve. 🤝🏻❤️

Even though there are only about a 1000 scout rangers, trust me u dont wanna mess with them! That stare gave me chills. Some other countries understimate them when they are literally needed to win REAL BATTLES. You can die trying to be one.

This guys will remain in the battle without fear, and also being prepared to die just to protect our country, this is the deadliest stare i have ever seen. Dont try there strength even if you deploy thousands of military from your country and destroy our country you will regret it .Salute to our military soldier, im one of them and im willing to die for an honor.. i will fight no matter where the path leads . Its an honor to serve our country .
