In this video my mother shows us how to make kimchi jjigae (김치찌개) which is a very popular Korean stew made with kimchi. As for measurements, uh.. well there aren't really any. This video is to give you an idea on how to make it. Try to improvise with what you have and make your own version of this delicious Korean hotpot. If you have kimchi and pork you can do this!

I didn’t know too much kimchi juice makes kimchi jjigae 텁텁해. As mother said it will make the kimchi jjigae not refreshing. There’s no direct translation for this word in my opinion. Kimchi jjigae is such a comfort food. Love the addition of the pork shoulder. Nice seeing you around!

I just made Jjigae for the first time a couple weeks ago and its definitely a mainstay in my household now! Very good tips in here, we did not know to not use the kimchi juice so next time thats what we will do

So I made this using bacon instead of pork shoulder, didn't have the strength to brave the last minute shoppers, and it was AMAZING!
