Rotor wash is nothing to mess around with. I got pounded like a nail by a tree limb in a pitch dark LZ after disembarking and the CH53 was powering up to lift off.

Because the blades are so small compared to a normal helicopter, the downdraft they have to produce is like 50% more than a normal helicopter
