I am a very happy NACA homeowner. Intake to close was 7 months because it took 3 months to find the right home.
It 100% works. Those crying that it doesn’t work did not follow the program and they still expected it to lead to approval. They failed. NACA didn’t.

I'm literally on the last step of the NACA program right now. I had a great NACA realtor and my lender was really helpful. BUT the process is SLOW. I moved out of my apartment once I was in the last step thinking I'd close quickly, and I was so wrong. I def would recommend the program because I realize I saved a lot of money and I got a great deal on the home I'm purchasing. However, please be prepared for the process - that's just the real. The underwriting process was so lengthy compared to others, but I'm in the final stretch. I hope this helps someone. my experience with naca:

Make me take classes, pay membership, become a pawn on their political activism and and the end they told me to apply for a regular mortgage with a bank they are working with... and the bank declined the application... because... that is why I was going through naca in the first place...

I need to watch this full episode because I'm going through NACA now to buy my first multi-family. and they said you must have 5 years between buying another property through them and when you buy your second property...you must sell the first one to go through the program again

The lien is for the life of the loan as long as you still have the NACA loan. After 5 years if you sell or refinance out of a NACA loan and are not longer in the NACA loan then you can do whatever you want.

You forget to tell how long it takes and how NACA make you jump through endless hurdles and how sellers may not wait on the slow processes Because its a seller market
