I never pruned mine in the fall and now there is what looks like dead sticks all sticking out, but underneath is a bunch of new growth (leaves) What do I do now? I'm in CT and it's just warming up.

Like all plants including grass, when it's time never cut more than a third back. Common rule of thumb.

My margarita daisy is in a pot. The top is full of flowers. The stem are not green only the tips. It is tall and never been pruned back. How should u prune it?

Every time I prune my daisy bushes they die. Even when I only prune lightly or just take out the really woody stems that are flopping all over the place.. What am I doing wrong?

I'm new to gardening since the pandemic, and got a few pots of the african bush daisies (3 in each pot), and they were so beautiful, but now some of the pots have one plant that no longer has flowers or leaves. I was gonna plant them, but should I remove it from the pot?

G'day from Perth! New subscriber here...my daisy plants are only about 4 months old and I have dead headed them twice now, however they are now woody with few leaves. Soil moisture had been steady, partial sun in our hot climate. I haven't fertilised them as yet. Any advice would be very much appreciated!
