The 1985 Chicago Bears are widely considered to be among the best football teams to ever play the game. With an offense led by quarterback Jim McMahon and running back Walter Payton, the Bears ran roughshod over the league that year with a 15-1 regular season record and an easy 46-10 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XX. The team might have been comprised of some of the greatest football players of all time, but the 1985 Chicago Bears would be memorable even if they'd been terrible at football simply for the outlandish characters that made up their roster. Here's how the 1985 Bears look today.

I can’t believe you completely skipped Walter Payton! I know he’s passed away, but he still deserves accolades

I don’t care what anybody says. Al Bundy was the greatest high school football player. Once scoring 4 touchdowns in 1 game!

How in the hell do you leave Steve Mongo McMichael's out of this?

“Leslie Frazier returned as a DB coach with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Cue interview footage with Baltimore Ravens.
That ‘85 Bears team was nasty on the field, great fun off it.

They were the best team of all time, #1 Ranked Offense #1 Ranked Defense and 1# Ranked Special Teams...no other team in history has had those rankings in the same season!

Dan Hampton, Otis Wilson, Steve McMichael? And if you're including Ditka, what about the other half, Buddy Ryan?

I remember SI had a cover page showing the Bears blowing up the Cowboys quarterback….I think teams were afraid of playing against that defense 😳

My name is Marc. I am high functioning autistic. I met William Perry in person at Ameristar Casino in East Chicago, Indiana. The 1985 Chicago Bears FootBall Team is the best team of all time for one season. Hands Down!

Chicago put the fear in offense. QBs was like. If I make it threw this 4 sacks 2 fumbles and -20 yard game today I'll be ok.
