Cons: "covid will never be gone and will mutate " and you will need shots and boosters twice a year forever..

1:00 comparing a single strain of a corona virus to all of the current influenza strains is a bad example. The Covid vaccine has to just target one strain (the other mutations are not at the point that it will not work on them), when the flu shot has to work on many, many strains of influenza which is more likely to mutate as-well, in addition to this the flu shot providers have to guess which strains will be primarily infecting people that season.

I'm still going to wait until it all sorts out. I live in California so the whole issue is kind of moot since our State and County Gov cannot distribute the vaccine (malfunctioning scheduling software etc) but even so I want to see how the ultimate efficacy of these shots are in the mid term. They seem relatively safe so far but will their efficacy hold out in the general population? And if the new varients require booster shot after booster shot that will be just impossible to administer in California. For instance in a place like Germany, where the public health system is first in the world instead of last like the US, they won't give anyone over 65 the vaccines because it has no efficacy. And only n95 masks are allowed to be worn - anything other than that is clincially useless (home made masks, bandanas knitte thing etc etc).
