Hi, i'm from india. We store and reuse packages as well! Throwing them out is a waste. We always have a package at times of need. Just open the bag full of packages in the kitchen and use whichever plastic bag fits the need. Sometimes, to throw other waste. Sometimes to carry some fresh garden flowers to the temple.

My parents were born in the Caucasian region of the Soviet Union, so I know all about those traditions.
Although they don't live there anymore, those traditions got adopted and embedded by many countries of the CCCP.
