Such an important point. Even hospital and systems who have MD’s in the board of directors and CEO’s are exempt from this problem. A lot of those MD’s do not engage in clinical work and have always had an administrative career path. Or, their specialty is completely out of touch to what a regular front line physician deals with every day.

There's more to consider in this topic than assuming Mayo is a typical hospital. Their physician pool is very large providing a better probability of finding business-oriented doctors and Mayo's business model is far from typical.
