I took time to spruce up an old project which was a night light for my little boys and integrated it into home assistant. The refresh wasn't really needed but hey were makers and always tinkering :-)

I do like the integration into HA. I need to set up your ESP01 LED module as a night light I think, need to toddler proof it first with a case!

Sorry if I missed this, but what does the LED module actually do? Any reason you can't just connect up directly to the ESP01 for data?

Get a compile-error! I've a esp-01S and it works with other sketches (e.g. ESP3D). It works when you change D2 into 2.
NightLight:23:30: error: 'D2' was not declared in this scope

OK I have ESP01 controller ESP8266 ESP-01S ESP01 1MB Flash Wi-Fi AP & Station Mode and wired my NeoPixel Ring to it. Q1 How can I control the ring wirelessly, is there an app on Adroid phone I could use to communicate with ESP8266 moldule? Q2 can I connect ESP01 to my Raspberry Pi 4?
