Great to know they still honor their tools and their word. Sears went back on their word on many things and this is one reason folks went away from them.

I literally just exchanged one exactly like that last week. Walked up to the checkout and asked if it was warranted and the clerk said it certainly was and even went and grabbed a new one off the shelf and brought it to me. No questions, no hassle, just signed the ticket and was on my way. Harbor Freight gets snubbed on a lot of stuff, but they do have some decent tools and stand behind them.

A few years back I bought one of the oscillating multi tools open box. It worked for a while but soon failed. I took it back to the store and asked if I could get an allowance on a new tool. I had my receipt which clearly said open box. They gave me a brand new one straight across even though it was more money than what I paid for the open box one, no questions asked. This was in 2008 and I still have the one that they exchanged and it's still works! Ironically, I have had more trouble with hand tools, but not much. I returned one of those universal screwdrivers because the handle broke off. They exchanged it but the storm manager commented that it was the old style handle. Another time I returned a pair of Pittsburgh precision pliers that had frozen up. They weren't rusted. They just wouldn't open anymore. The storm manager said "I'll do it" (exchange), but you could tell he was not at all happy about it.

Yes they have been great, bought a brick saw, had it past warranty, started making noise, took it to them, they went and got me a brand new one, great video

I have never been refused a replacement on the Pittsburgh tools.

Harbor Freight gave me $24.99 for my 8 year old jack stands that weren't part of the recall. I did have to call corporate because the store only wanted to give me a credit at first. After I called, the store contacted me and no problem.

20+ years ago, Sears would swap out a tool under warranty with a new one. Last time I broke my 1/2" ratchet, they replaced it with a refurbed one. Harbor Freight replaced the 1/2" breaker bar I broke 2 years ago....no question, and replaced it with a brand new one. Good to know about the torque wrench since I have one too!

They have always worked with me. Even when things were out of warranty. I have bought a ton of stuff from them and do not regret it!

The only bad experience Is when they got rid of the chicago electric tools and stopped selling the batteries for them but thankfully you put out a very good battery adapter video

I've learned that having a good repore with the local stores employees works wonders and often leads to a just go ahead and get another one and we'll swap em out for ya... That generally has always worked out well in most stores except the ones where the employees are useless.don't like helping others or they're just naturally a jerk...

Good for you. We have Princess Auto up here in Canada and I have that cheap blue angle grinder that is dying. I think i will return it as they, like HF return anything. I should do a video too.

Ole sixtyfiveford, I did your snowblower, conveyor belt to the impeller, mod to my 2 blowers at home, and 1 at work about 6 years ago and it still works great on each one. I think of you every time I throw the lever to start the tines and impeller.LOL

I had bought an $85 Craftsman from Sears. It was on an endcap with a big sign above the peg board hangers which read lifetime guarantee. I took it back after a year when it failed (I had used it once); they told me it only had a 30 day return with receipt. So I bought a new one and then a couple weeks later I returned the broken one. Husky does a full guarantee on their torque wrench from what I can see.
