When you look at all the stuff the fruit can do, alot of people think these are totally different abilities that doesn't tie together, but I actually know how it does. Childhood. You stay young forever, and you play with your toys forever. And since the toys only play what you want them to play, that explains the contract and why the person is erased from other memories, since it only exists for your entertainent.

- Dressrosa was indeed the Island of Forgotten Toys, but I think the reason this fruit exists is because I can see many people desire to go back to their childhood where they want to forget their worries & play with toys
- I believe that Sugar can use both her hands to transform because she uses both to transform the dwarves into Little Black Bears, but speaking about that I thought it was odd that Leo & the rest forgot about their friends who changed into bears even though they know that a toy was once a person & I am surprised that they didn’t have a list of their friends to check who still remained because the power doesn’t affect physical objects

Both hands are used for the toy transformation. She did a Gatling style attack to turn every tontatta that was attacking her into toys.

I do think the idea "erasing important people effects their development" was done with usopp. Usopp ran away when the tontattas were getting beat up because saving Robin was a major moment for him and helped be less cowardly when others lives are on the line. Which made it even more impressive that he found the courage through other means.

This has held up since its introduction as the most op fruit so far in the series, how quickly Sugar took out Robin with it is a testimony to that

Finally someone mentioned it, I always said that it's likely not eternal youth, but specifically being turned into a child for as long as you don't die.

Fits the theme way better and explains why sugar ate the fruit so early, it's because that's the optimal time to eat it, you won't regret losing your body, and you also don't need to learn how to handle a small Body.

ok, but considering the name "hobby hobby" maybe the innate ability of the fruit isn't to turn living things into dolls but to turn living things into whatever you consider your "hobby". Like i'm a musician, would the fruit (if I had it) turn living things into musical instruments or even musical notes?

I think on the subject of fruit deactivation, it's probably only a certain type of fruit that does that. Zoans transform their bodies so that whatever point they're at is just what they are. Brulee's fruit a pocket dimension type and likely works similar to Uta's fruit where the fruit essentially contains the pocket dimension while also being the key. So then "emitter" type Paramecias are effected by sudden unconsciousness because the power's projection is suddenly cut off and quits working.

The fact that Oda made a point to give Seraphim Jinbe Señor Pink's ability and to also state that they had all of the Doflamingo crew in lockup which allowed Vegapunk to get said fruit leaves me very concerned about what Seraphim Doffy may have in his arsenal.

I think Sugar's weakness isn't going unconscious. That would be like sleeping and losing your powers. I think it is getting scared. Her heart missing a beat. Her power is an active power, the toys are her toys for the rest of her Life, so if she is dead for a second they break free.

At least in the anime, it is confirmed Sugar doesn't remember her targets after they're turned into toys. I forget who it was, but I clearly remember a scene when she was turning the pirates into toys and she was having a conversation with one of them and she said something along the lines of "I'll forget who you are as well"

The thought of this fruit in someone with actual combat abilities is insane. Especially since you can litterally use it in front of their own crew and they wouldn't comprehend what happened. Definitely one of the most eerie devil fruits right next to Pudding's.

Actually they sort of confirm that Sugar forgets about the people she turn into toys. They kind of explain it when they explain why Kyros doesn't have a contract. He ran away, and since no one (including Sugar) was able to remember who he really was, they didn't bother to capture him. (I think it went something like this, I'm explaining it from memory since i re-read dresrossa like a month ago)

This fruit is one of the most terrifying less for the part of turning you into a toy and more for the fact that everyone forgets that you exist, nullifying any chance of anyone saving you.
And before we found out that strong enough Haki can nullify the effects of fruits, it was definitely in my top 10 most dangerous fruits.

I wonder if marvel ever saw dressrossa. The whole 5 year event in marvel when everyone who disappeared comes back and have to readjust to life is just like when all the people who were turned to toys for 10 years came back.
And then the Spider-Man movie of everyone forgetting who Peter Parker is, is like how her ability erases memories of people.
