It's the first time I gave a thumb down in your channel. There is no project files. I watched it up until 56min and then realized it's a preview of your udemy series. From your title, we get the impression that we will have a simple MERN project hook up together. You should change your Title to be "Preview of..." for "First part of...." then I think a lot of people will skip this video.

I would do the planning in this order View -> Route -> API -> Database schema
doing data model at the end might make it easier for normalization because then we have more information about the structure of the app to work with
