When France accepts the "demand the lowlands" incident for me it returned all french cores to the french. I was reduces to like 5 provinces and then marie died. I like the strat but there is some rng sadly.

Don't forget that in upcoming 1.34, You can be able to become a HRE Elector wether through force with a special Casus Beli, through peace by buying The Electorate or just be The Emperor with a special decisions. All three of options required to subjugate a Elector first in order to get those three options of becoming a HRE Elector

If you wanna make it even funnier.
Take PU over Bohemia in first 1-2 years (really easy to do).
Maybe some other "luck" based PU or Milan.
And when you do Burgundian Inheritance you do inherit those as well :D.
+ in 20:31 you had Pretender rebels, if you would let them take over your country (France most likely didn't have enough man to kill them) you would be free :D.

hot tip; after placating Nevers remember to get a royal marriage with them. When you take land and create Champagne you only need to enact strong duchies to get them loyal

So there's a solution to the austrian war part when the inheritance event fires if you bring austria into a war with you before the event then they cant declare war on you when the event fires if you choose to remain independent. This means you keep the lowlands and the austrians will vote to bring you into the empire which will get the entire hre to essentially vote for it as well
