The Supreme Court has transferred the cases related to violation of market competition rules going on in different courts of the country against e-commerce platforms Amazon and Flipkart to the Karnataka High Court. Filing a petition in the Supreme Court, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) had said that the companies are presenting challenges in different courts with the aim of stopping the investigation of the High Court.

CCI had requested the court to hear 23 complaints of vendors against Samsung, Vivo, Amazon and Flipkart. The matter is related to the investigation of CCI in 2019. After the investigation, the Competition Commission had alleged that Amazon and Flipkart gave more priority to some select sellers in the market.

This mess of the companies had an impact on India's e-commerce market. The Investigative Unit of CCI found in its investigation that both the companies had violated the Anti-Trust Law.

In addition, collusion with smartphone manufacturers like Samsung and Vivo for special online launches was exposed.
