Some people are saying that if they ever get close to a whale shark they wouldn't be able to fight the urge to touch them but please DO NOT they have a mucus coating that protects them from sunlight and other things and if you touch them the mucus coating rubs off on yout hands and makes them stressed so swim along them, appreciate them, watch them but please DO NOT touch them♡

Whale Sharks is a symbol here in our region here in the Philippines, along side Mayon Volcano, we call them "Butanding" They love warm ocean waters and mostly found in the provinces of Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Catanduanes and some more provinces in northern visayas regions!

i was able to swim with some whale sharks once, and while they told us not to go too close to them, one of them swam pretty close to me and family and accidentally got me in the stomach with their fins 😅
