I get what you’re saying, although it sounds like a contradiction. Its all relative, 20-25 reps even with 1000 lbs is not heavy weight to that specific individual thats lifting it. That would be moderate weight to that specific person, so basically moderate weights with moderate reps is what will help you build bigger legs. In a nutshell, whatever weight gets you 20 reps close to failure even if that weight is 200 lbs for that specific individual.

After years of training I learnt that I been doing knees not legs and arms instead of back! Train light enough to activate the right muscles and increase after you’ve got the mind muscle connection and feel it in your quads or hams…
