Oh my!! You have total change my email. I got rid of the promotion tab & made some filters. that help sort out the emails that I want to read & mass delete the ones I don't. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I love gmail's tabs at the top--I've just got 3 there. (Primary, social, promotions). I've found they "learn, " so if there's a message under the wrong tab and I move it (I just drag it) to another tab, next time it's likely to be in the "right" tab. And it keeps the facebook notifications and pinterest stuff out of my way until I have time to look. (And if I'm really busy, I can just delete that whole page-full all at once so I don't get tempted to waste time!)

This is exactly the information I need right now. I need to move things from an old email address to a new one really quickly. You said in the intro there is a way to have that happen, so the old one forwards everything to gmail. Will that work if the old email is in Outlook and I need to forward everything to GMail?

Gmail has recently decided to place ALL my new mail under Archive 😟, with no changes on my end, as well as sending unread emails to Trash!!! HELP PLEASE 🙏
